    Low memory resources with Flask0.6

    Greetings
When I run Flaskmpeg0.6 with DivX4.12 (2 pass 1st pass) my machine locks up after a while (18% completed for example) and then complains of running low on resources. The only way to do anything else is to shut down Flask.

I've shut down all programs running in the background (like virus scanners, zonealarm etc) but it still does it.

    Specs:
    Windows Me
    Athlon 1300
    512 DDR Ram
    k7s5a
    40Gb drive (20G spare)

Anybody else had this problem and have a solution?

    Thanks in advance

I had the same problem. It turned out to be a mp3 conflict with a creative mp3 codec on my system that I probably got when I upgraded my sound card to a Audigy MP3. You need to disable this creative mp3 codec. To do this, go to your control panel and double click on the 'Sounds & multimedia" icon. Under one of the tabs you will find the one for audio codecs. View the list and find the creative mp3 codec and then disable it. That should solve your problem. Let me know how it works out for you!

yep it worked, I had to reinstall Radium mp3 for Flask to pick it up, but it worked. Do you (or anybody else) know if Lame mp3 will conflict/much it all up as well because I removed that too to be on the safe side?

As far as I know, only the Creative MP3 causes a conflict. I think you will be ok if you install the Lame codec also.
