Best encoding software?

There's a lot of software to convert vob->avi, FlaskMpeg,DVD2AVI,MPG2AVI,Xmpeg,GordianKnot,NeoDiv x...and many other, but, the best (fast & best quality)?!
Please, help me, there's too many software! I only want one!

Best quality: DVD2AVI+nandub (2-pass-mode), but it's not very fast.

alternatively you might try gordianknot, which uses nandub as well and thus is very similar, though a little easier to hanlde due to the nice gui and it is faster, since it uses avisynth instead of dvd2avi for frameserving.

i don not like it, however, since gordianknot does not allow using ms v2 codec (which nandub does!).

ms v2 is the most reliable in terms of macroblock errors for me - but that differs very much from machine to machine!!

so give it a try with gk, too since it is faster but check your film afterwards!
