checking for video freezes and other corruptions

I would like to know whther ther is a program that can check video for errors such as freezes and any other errors, after i have downloaded the video. I use virtual dub an older version to check for video freezes yet it is very slow and it only check for freezes. Also i doubt whther it is good for checking video that has been decompressed with divx4.12 as it seems to miss the freezes completely. The lates version of virtual dub is crashing when it finds an error - is there another program please. it is important to check a video after download as it is very annoying to start seeing a video and you find that it has corrupted parts in it

vd_vbr_mp3 was modified for scanning divx3 files
(video => check for freezes).

i doubt it will work for divx4.

for divx3 one should always install an antifreeze filter in order to have your file played without stopping at frozen frames.

since i consider divx4 crappy compared to 3 i havent even cared for any such things with divx4 encoded material.
