    VobSub Problems

Hi, I downloaded a movie and it plays perfectly, then I downloaded VobSub v2.23 and the subtitles file for the movie, I put the subtitles and the movie in the same folder and renamed the files with the same name. The subtitles are .srt format.

The problem is, that after I installed VobSub, when I try to playback the movie I get the following message and the movie doesn't play :

Access violation at address 028ED6A5 in module 'DVOBSUB.AX'. Read of address FFFFFFFF.

As a player I use Zoom Player. I also tried to run the movie in other players (like WMP) but the same thing happens. When I uninstall VobSub the movie plays perfectly, therefore I don't think it has anything to do with audio/video codecs.

    Thanks in advance.

'DVOBSUB.AX' is directvobsub and indeed part of vobsub

you could uninstall vobsub and try ffdshow because it too has a subtitle filter/function, whch you will find in its configuration

another way could be using BSPlayer, which i think has an internal subtitlefilter as well

Is there something else I can do to keep VobSub, In the past I used to watch movies with subtitles with no problems both on Zoom Player and WMP. I think something happend when I installed the ACE Codec Pack. But I uninstalled it immediately and downloaded the codecs I needed one by one separately. Any more suggestions woukd be very appreciated.

Use codecsniper to remove the unwanted codecs and use Media Player Classic or MV2 Player for playback.
