problemas en virtualdub con div3

hola amigos,
pasa lo siguiente, no puedo procesar avis codificados con el codec mpeg4 v3 de microsoft o div3, el codec del sitio de microsoft no me sirve para decodificar el video y los otros que he encontrado como el angelpotion al instalarlos y abrir el virtualdub aparece un mensaje advirtiendo que no son legitimos y generan problemas, de hecho ya tuve que formatear el pc. que hacer? gracias.

when I'm working with virtualdub, in some cases when I try to open a file it says "you need mpeg4 high speed microsoft codec or div3". I've tried with angelpotion and other divx but virtualdub says that these are not legal and I can have problems and I already had to reinstall windows xp. what codec I have to install? where I can find it? thanks

Install the DivX v.3.11alpha codec - and feel free to ignore the warning that shows up in VirtualDub (It's only there because this is a "variant" of the original Microsoft codec).

By the way, at all costs, avoid the AngelPotion codec - it is a messed up hack of the DivX v.3.11alpha codec...
