Graphedit problem please help

hi, i'm trying to use graphedit to convert from asf to avi... but then, when i add filters to the asf file and wanna change the properties, i get Illegal Operation Error... for example, if i right-click on the filter, i get that error.. can someone help me? it'z so weird..

If you are merely trying to convert from .ASF to .AVI format, you could try a very direct alternative method - namely, downloading either of two versions of VirtualDub, which accept .ASF input. One version is simply the older version 1.3c. The other is a modified v.1.4ASF.

You should be able to find either, or both, here (scrolldowmn the page to see all of the listed variants:

thanx a lot setarip for your help but i was trying to convert wmv2 encoded asf file.. should have put that on the first post.. sorry.. anyway, i found out what the problem was.. it was the nimo codec pack that interferred with the graphedit.. thanx for your help though...
