I am a complete newcomer to this aspect of DVD/AVI making. I want to convert a DVD to an .avi file using DVD to AVI vers. 2.1 which I subsequently will convert using Pocket_DVD Studio so that I can store it on my Pocket PC.
My problem is that I don't seem to be able to set the configuration section properly. My first and second attempt yielded 28 mins of a 2.5 hour movie with subtitles which I did not want. The screen aspect looks OK... I used 720x480.
Does PAL and NTSC figure in the equation at all?
I will be grateful for any advice whatsoever.
