Xmpeg 4.31 not open mpeg2 files

I have a mpeg2 file, converted from SVCD to mpeg with VCDGear.
When i open the .mpg file, using Xmpeg 4.31, nothing hapen, the movie not open...

Any idea?

Are you able to PLAY the MPEG2 file? If not, it may be corrupt...

I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR capture card, which captures analog video to MPEG2 files for me. XMEPG4.2 can read them, but 4.31 cannot. I guess something was broken when they built 4.31.

X-mpeg 4.31 has a test running in the beggining when you try to open an IFO file or a VOB. I had the same problem and I could not realise that I should let the programme perform tis test and then everyting would be OK!

So : When it prompts that an IDCT test will be performed just press OK and in about 4-5 minutes you ll be ok !!
