Nandub is a videoeditor/encoder based on VirtualDUB. It allowes to use the DivX3.11-codec or Microsofts original MPEG4V2-codec in two-pass-mode. The original MPEG4V2-codec seems to be a little bit better than the hacked DivX3.11.
Been wondering where I can find it. Do I need to install it or is it automatically installed with Windows? Also, will 3.11 need to be removed in order for this codec to work?
I did ask this question before but I've lost the answer. Thanks.
Not necessarily. I prefer 3.11. The newer DivX, being a completely different codec (in terms of software engineering), has simply been given the numbering 4 and 5 to make it look newer (correct) and better (yeah right!) than 3.11.
