    creating still frames at specified interval

    hey there, not sure if im in the right forum. is there any software that will create a still frame from a video,automatically, say every 10 frames or so?

    absolutely virtualdubmod can save a still from video under "video" , "snapshot source frame". its free too.

    this is not automatic though, you would have to do it manually.

      You CAN sort of do it with vdub.
      Select video, framerate, and decimate by 10 (for example).
      This will give you every 10th frame in a 30fps video.
      You can then save it out as an avi.
      Load the avi into Paintshop Pro's Animation shop, and save each frame, or resave as an animated .gif
