cutting divx problems

I am using virtual dub to cut avi files, to then convert to mpeg to then burn as a vcd. my problem is when i open a file in virtual dub, it is giving me the error "Couldn't lovate decompressor for format divx (open divx). Virtual Dub requires a VFW compatable codec to decompress video"
How do i overcome this? Help

Go here and get this codec pack to make sure you have eveything you may need for all types of DivX movie's: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/acemega_codec.html

well, it says the os is for me/200 and nt? I have windows 98 and the think wont donwnload. my probs where cutting divx with virtual dub, some wont open.
