    several filters in virtual dub

    Hello,

When I use (in VirtualDub) the filter 'resize', than I can choose in the ''filter mode' -field a lot of modes. But does someone know which one is the best, which one has the best quality?

    In advance thanks

Nearest neighbor is usually best, and also fastest.
Precise bicubic shows very little difference (if any) and is MUCH slower.

      Thanks!

But what does the filter mode 'Lanczos3' mean. I've heard from someone it's a good one. Is this better or worse than 'nearest neighbour' ?

Some ppl claim "bicubic" produces better results when you increase the resolution and "bilinear" produces better results when you decrease the resolution. IMO I don't see any difference.
