    Here's a quick question.

When you choose your audio codec (i.e. mp3 etc) do you pick the same sample rate as you select in Flask.

i.e. if your audio sample rate in Flask is 48,000 (48k) do you pick 48,000Hz for the audion codec, or 44,100Hz, 22,500Hz etc ??

Only this can cause problems if both don't match.

I tried with audio freq "same as input file" (indeed before I changed it to 44.1kHz, with source file at 48kHz), but again it crashed at 32.576%.. ((

It seems hopeless... I hope it ain't. Any more suggestions please?

(I do appreciate your support as you have given until now. Thank you very much).

Perhaps this question is too obvious but - are you running low on hard drive space?

No no, I'm not. Have about 10 gigs free on the partition used for converting. The MPEG2-file to convert is about 800 megs.

I tried some other files (had about 10 stock piled), and now it seemed that about half of them were no problem in converting, but the other half made XMPEG or Flask crash.

Could it be that the original MPEG2-files are corrupted?? And if so, how can I repair them?
Maybe re-record from the files I've got on harddrive, is that possible? While playing is no problem, I thought it might be possible to record that 'playing-stream' to a new file in order to get rid of the error.

You could try using TMPGEnc to resave the files - either directly or by demultiplexing. I'd suggest demutliplexing. That way you can try converting the video-only (.m2v) file with Flask and determine if the problem lies with the video stream or the audio stream.

              Lte us know of your success ;>}

don't use flask from experience or anything based on it

                use GKnot & Nandub

                not anything else

As setarip suggested, I tried TMPGEnc to de-multiplex some stubborn MPEG2-files and multiplex them again right after. Then I let XMpeg to convert the file to DivX and luckily enough this seemed to work!!!

On some files multiplexing didn't work but rewriting the file from the de-multiplexed streams did. This process lasted quite a lot longer, but at least it worked!

So guys, thank you very much for helping me on this!
                  Really appreciate it!!! Thanks!!

well, I had a similar problem once. I was tryin' to compress Everything About Sex, by Woody Allen. But Xmpeg 4.21 kept crashing in the mean of the process, and it seemed there was nothing to do. But finally I found out that there was a problem with the audio codec. Just changed it and got my DivX.
I don't remember wich was the bad one, I just can tell u that I finally used mp3 96Kbit/sec 44100.
                      Hope u'll succeed!!!

                      Bye

I also have a crash when leaving FlaskMpeg 0.6.
And Ctrl-Alt-Del seems to be the only possibility to eliminate the error message box.
Finally, I found that Dr Watson was able to close it !
