Good program to edit avi bit rate? Please help!

Ok I got a 16 part movie series ... half is 15hz audio bit rate and the other is 16 hz. Problem is I can't obviously join a set of 15 bit rate and 16 bit rate movies together ... so how can I change them all to 15? or 16? dont care which. I tried using virtual dub, dont understand it at all. Tried using aviedit, dont understand it. I just need a prog to easily change my bit rate! Man been looking for over a month now, please help thanks alot guys.

Hello,

Here's what I think u should do : select Video > Direct Stream Copy. That means the video won't be processed at all.
Select Audio > Full Processing Mode, and in Audio > Compression... select the codec, sample frequency and bitrate u want.

Process all ur files with the same settings, and u should then be able to join them.
