    Aspect Ratio change...

I am trying to take a divix movie and make a VCD out of it, but I seem to be having a problem trying to find a way to make it look right on the TV screen when I am done. The problem is that it is in 16:4 aspect ratio, but it dosen't have the spacer bars on the top and botom to make it fit on the tv in 4:3...it makes everyone tall and skinny(if only I could do that to me). Can anyone suggest a good solution to this?

The only solution is to use avisynth-frameserving and add borders at the top and bottom of your divx. But you must know first the correct resolution of your divx.

      Aspect Ratio change...

I ended up finding anoter way to do this after I initially posted this, and that is to use VirtualDub's resize filter, and that worked very good for me. I just applied it twice to the same file, once to change the field size to the correct aspect ratio(taking the width/4 then multiplying the result by 3 to get the desired height) and then again to size it down to the desired size for making a VCD out of it.
