avi encoded movies

i have used flaskmpeg and dvd2avi and my avi movies come out showing upside down when i play them. im trying to encode "basic instinct" and "the matrix". if anyone can suggest something or help me in any way. thanks a bunch

For a "permenant" correction, there may be a filter for Virtualdub, that can change the movie back to its original way. The Sasami player, will allow you to I think change the movie also for playback.

If you feel comfortable making entries to the Windows Registry, the following should resolve your situation:

Find (or create) the following key in the Registry:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Scrunch\WMVid eo\Vertical Flip Packed YUV

and then set the DWORD value of this registry key to 1
