I've just encoded a small segment of video from a DVD movie and recieve the following message when loading it in Virtual Dub.
I want to remove about 20 seconds of audio/video from the start of this clip. It turns out that ignoring this error didn't help, lol, since the resulting clip did indeed end up with serious syncing problems. I had figured I might get away with it because I wasn't re-encoding. No luck
Why can't Virtual Dub just leave it alone and split it for me? It's a little annoying that it wants to make a decision for you without giving you a choice. Obviously I don't want it changed, and I don't want to have to recompress a clip everytime I do this.
Does anyone know a way around this, or know of any other programs that are as solid as Virtual Dub for splitting DivX movies?
Btw, I don't understand why Virtual Dub thinks the audio is improperly encoded in the first place. I used GK to encode the clip, with the same options/settings almost everyone else is using.
