    QUESTION with divx 3.11-4.12-5.0.2

ok here goes, I have videos encrypted with all 3, I have windows 2000 pro running on my computer now, I had it working 2 weeks ago with all 3 of the divx codecs, I reinstalled windows because of some bugs I had been having, went to reinstall divx 3.11 alpha and it works fine all movies encoded with that work perfectly, then I went to install 4.12 and it doesn't work, the videos encrypted with 3.11 don't play when I install 4.12, and the same thing happens with 5.0.2, anyone have any ideas? if you do you can e-mail me at ciaccia23@aol.com with the heading saying DIVX QUESTIONS, or just reply here in this thread, or try to catch me on aim at ciaccia23, any help would be greatly appreciated, I don't know what I am doing wrong, if anyone can help me I'd be forever in your debt, thank you very much in advance

You could try the TSUNAMI codec pack and do a clean install. However, it is my experience that divx 5.x cannot co-exist with prior version of the codec.

You can maintain both divx 4.12 and divx 3.11 alpha on the same system. First uinstall all codecs, then re-install divx 3.11, then install divx 4.12 however, decline its offer to playback divx 3.11 encoded content.

You can have divx 3.11 and 5.02 installed at the same time. These are the only two you will need. v5.02 will handle the 4.12 playback no prob. But you can't put 4.12 and 5.02 on the same machine (unless you edit your registry)
