Considering you have attached a PNG, I'd say it is remarkable. I save the pic and blow it up to 800% and see what it looks like then. For mine, it's terrific.

Also, you should study up on video artifacts so you can recognize them.

Can you give me the average bitrates reported bij DVD-RB in the prepare fase ????
Did you removed all the stuff you don't really need, IOW trying to do a movie only backup ?
Did you study the original, as I have seen a lot of originals that looked worse then some of my highly compressed backups.....
BATMAN movies for example already shows blockiness results in the original. Even "die another day (james bond)" has blockiness in some scenes on the original DVD.
Please post youre average bitrates.And then there was Blue Ray........ Nothing to backup anymore......Comment
