    Errors in verifying disc

Just used DVD RB to shrink Down In The Valley - made and iso and burned it to disc. During the verification process, I got error like the ones below - but the disc seems to work. What could be wrong?

Try a scan with Nero CD/dvd Speed. Get it from my signature. It is free.

Thanks, will do - why, may I ask? Are Image Burn scans known to be inaccurate? Btw, posting here because I made an .iso using 2 different programs - and went through the DVD RB process twice - so I'm assuming it's DVD RB related.?

Doin' it - the greener the better, I assume. This is one lengthy test - not that I care

No not at all but I believe you get that warning with every error.

About it being DVD RB related, I doubt it. It is probably a media/burning issue.

From what I understand is that ImgBurn verifies what is burnt against what is in memory of your computer. This way it eliminates the encoding program.

What type of media are you using? Is your firmware up to date? What else were doing while burning??(surfing the web, encoding??) There are a lot of variables to get a real great burn.

The best way for us to answer is to post the imgburn log file.

Riddle me this - what if I get all green on this Nero test?

I'm actually testing on another comp. - just because.

Media - what Staples sells a lot for a little - Staples brand (probably not so hot).

But again, what if I get all green?

          And thanks!

          Ok, all green. All good?

Will do - would that be on my comp. from yesterday, or would I have to do a new burn?

It's definitely not related to DVD-RB. It looks like the verify procedure is finding a difference between what DVD-RB actually created and what was written to the disc. Interesting that you would see a 1 bit error, though.

OT, did someone notice the subject "Errors in verifying dics " its really hilarious.

Well the this "dic" problem does not seem to be handled by DVD-RB and probably the "dic" has errors

                          Oops - sorry 'bout that!!

Is it true that running any DVD while verifying can cause errors?
