IM using DVDRebuilder for the first time and im using the HC encoder. Each Segment takes about 13 mins for me and my dvd(robot chicken season 1)has 30 something segments.Does it take this long for everyone who uses HC??BTw im also using this on a laptop.Does EEc go really fast?then im buying it.

time = quality, I dont have CCE but I read it twice as fast ( also depend on computer, dual core can make it faster too)sigpic

From what I understand CCE is faster then HC.I use Procoder 2 and it is fast as well it takes right around 2 hours to do a full movie on my Pentium DLast edited by BR7; 13 Dec 2006, 11:40 AM.Comment

For me approximately 3.5 hours on a two hour movie.
If your using the freeware version of DVD-RB 098.1 be sure to manually update to the encoder HC 019.1 may help in the encoding time.
Freeware version DVD-RB 098.1 only comes with the HC encoder 019 and HC019.1 is the latest.

which HC quality mode have you chosen, let me put it as a equation
more quality=more time
More CPU power = Less time
More RAM = Less time (relatively and 1 GB is enough)
Multiple Encoder processes (DVDRB-Pro) = Less time
Lengthier movie = More time
