hi jwo62, i have my burning option set to burn. it won't make a full disc copy in this setting. it tells me i need to change it to file set. i have the trial version. i don't think this has anything to do with it though. does it?SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

dvd20ne acting up again. i inserted a disc about 1 hour and 25 minutes long and in both full disc copy and movie only the microsoft error box popped up saying an error occurred with the application dvd20ne.exe. it didn't do it w/my other application and it's not copyrighted either. i'm not to convinced on it right now.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

here's two error messages i got w/dvd20ne w/a previously burned dvd w/dvd20ne on separate attempts to copy and burn.
1. Write data failed. Sense key,05,26,60.
2. Write data failed. Sense key 03,oc.
p.s. i did mess w/some of the systems start-up commands to try and free up some more space. Did it through Black Viper's Website. Any suggestions always welcomed as usual. Thnx.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

First some general remarks:
The main functionality of DVD2one is to compress data from a DL DVD to a single layer recordable/rewritable with the best possible quality and speed. The burn engine of DVD2one is not that sophisticated, as DVD2one is not a burn tool like for instance Nero or the excellent and free ImgBurn. But it should work with any drive that supports the MMC-3 specs, which any recent drive should do. However, it's my experience that the firmwares of drive have many mistakes and do not follow the specs to the letter. This can cause problems. DVD2one has work-around for the most common mistakes, but not for specific drives.
Now to come back to the error messages:
1. I can not find this one in the specs. Error 05 26 ranges from 00 to 04, maybe 60 is vendor specific? No idea.
2. This means 'write error'. Obviously the drive can not write the disc you have inserted.
At what point did the error message come? Begin, halfway or at the end of the burn part?Comment

output is set to 4.7 gb. normal dvd-r setting. 5 not 9. was able to do other videos though no problem.i'm making sure some settings i disabled earlier are not affecting this. also i have a new sata lite-on biurner. gonna make sure this isn't the problem either.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

evdberg everything's fine w/my burner. just earlier today i burned 2 different dvd's with nero and imgburn. i used both shr... and nero recode. no problem. maybe it does have something to do w/dvd2one in some aspect. i just figured i'd try it out like they suggest. the compression component is what interests me. i'll play w/it till it expires. right now i'm not too convinced on adding it to my arsenal of copying and burning software.SAMSUNG SH-S203B, SAMSUNG SH-S223F,

As I already stated, DVD2one is no burning app like Nero or ImgBurn. The burn engine should work with most drives, as long as the drive implements the MMC-3 specs correctly. DVD2one has NO drive specific workarounds for drives that are not 100% compliant.
If you experience problems I recommend you set output to 'Image' and burn the resulting image file with your favorite burning app.Comment
