TMPGEnc not the best for audio encoding?

    TMPGEnc not the best for audio encoding?

    I read online that it is best to use TMPGEnc only for the video, and encode the audio in a separate application...
    Thanks for your opinion.

    Yes, TMPGEnc Plus only outputs audio MP2, and most of the time I am looking for audio AC-3 if the source disk has it.

    If you are doing stream processing you can get AC-3 audio from VOB EDIT software program.



    The replacement for TMPGEnc Plus (TMPGEnc 4.0 XPRESS) with the plug-in has the ability to output an AC-3 audio file.

      i like foobar2k for all audio transcoding. there is also besweet/belight

        true. i use besweet/light in conjuction with TMPGEnc all the time for this reason.
        i often don't even use the audio TMPGEnc outputs.
