can not load video stream?

hi, I got a message in TMPGEnc Plus saying can not load video stream. What does that mean and how can i fix it? I do not want to change the encoding tool to something different.

In TMPGEnc Plus,click OPTION/Environmental Setting/VFAPI Plugin.Now raise the priority of DirectShow Multimedia File Reader to the highest(usually +2).
BTW,what is the file extension of your video stream?

How about for Tmpgenc 4 xpress? I see now way to do what's suggested to fix the issue! Using directshow to work with .mkv files! Some work, some don't! Any ideas?
