TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 subtitles = horrible

Hi, I converted a DivX5 AVi & .SRT file to the DVD format, unfortunatelly, the subtitles look horrible when played on computer or TV.

Here are the subtitle layout settings :

    Font Name : Tahoma (Bold)
    Font allignement : Center, bottom
    Font Size : 5%
    Font color : White

    Allign Text = UNchecked

    Use Border = Checked
    Border size = 5%
    Border color = Black

Please, what could be the problem for the horrible subtitle rendering ?

I find that the default settings when importing .srt subs is bad. Way to big. When I just play the file on my PC with the subs they look nice and small at the bottom screen on 1 line. But when I create a DVD with TDA the subs are huge and on 2 lines covering about 1/3 of the actual screen. I never bothered to mess with them because I rarely use them. They are just for when i watch a movie late at night while the wife is asleep. At the very least. i would like to get them onto 1 line.

TMPGenc NOT outputting subtitles at all

I had been creating slideshows and dvds with good success since I bought this program 2 months ago. All of a sudden none of my projects output with subtitles. It has rendered everything useless. I have tried and tried to get tech support to troubleshoot this but with NO LUCK. All subtitles settings are ON and ENABLED. The simulation shows subtitles perfectly but NOT the outputted file. Help!

Anyone got any idea about this?
        Thanks.

Sorry for bringing this topic up, but I have some problems with subtitles in TMPGEnc DVD Author 3.

When I have adjusted the subtitles, and I export them to .SRT , it will screw up the text, because it exports letters like é, î, ', ë, etc... with weird characters.

When I import these later on, they are all weird characters, and my whole subtitles file is garbage.

Anyone else have these troubles please ?

Could you please specify what software you have used for you project? I need to do something similar to promote my vp page. Actually I might need some videos on the page too.
