Hi,
I am an enthusiastic newb with TMPG. Virtual dub was too clanky and Sony Vegas doesn't encode that well, so here I am.
Looking to get a decent workflow first with my Vegas 10 and AVCHD files from a GH2. I want, first, to create great quality SD DVD's from AVCHD footage.
How's this:
Import camera footage to Vegas 10, edit and grade away > render to AVI Lagarith codec > import AVI to TMPGenc and downsize to SD > import to DVD Architect and make menus and burn.
If these is a decent start, any pointers on what settings to use in TMPGenc?
