svcd compression

hi, i have created a svcd format video file. the file is big (2 gig), i have cut the film into 2 halves, but it is still 2 big. is there neway of gettin it 2 fit on a 80min disc? wit all these format thingsy like xsvcd, ksvd, csvd and all the other wierd formats thingys.

To make it a smaller size, you would have to decrease the video bitrate for the svcd. However, you can make a KVCD "thingy" which is still good quality but takes up less space. Check out kvcd.net

oh ok, thanx. the only prob, is that it says my dvd player model doesn't work wit kvcd or ksvcd, but my dvd player can play svcd, vcd, dvd, dvd r etc..., do u thnk i should give it a try neway?

I think you should, because kvcd is simply a modification of the vcd, however if your dvd doesnt play xvcd's, then theres a bigger chance it won't play kvcd's. But try anyway, burn a short sample on a cd-rw, you can always erase it.

Seems to be the limit on most 80min disc is a file size at 804mb. with a program that allows overburn.

Suggets to use any Nero 5.0 or higher. Or go get a FREEWARE called VCDeasy {click here}
