    audio and video out of synch in vcd?

    ok i have been making my own vcds with a few dvd rips i have downloaded, and i cut them in half with v dub and encode it with tmpgenc, highest quality, vcd setting, and then burn it onto a cd r with nero, mostly everytime throughout the movie the words dont match the lips, for maybe 5 to 10 sec, sometimes in the worst case, 1 to 3 min. i was wondering am i doin sumthin wrong or does this jus happen. Is there any way i can fix this, maybe burn it at a lower speed, will that help???? thanks in advance for you help where would i be without this forum, lol thanks.

    If you are using v.1.4.8 or 1.4.9 of VIrtualDub (which were buggy in the area of cutting audio), try using either an earlier version or v.1.4.10 - or NanDub...

        Seeing as they're downloade files, ther's no accounting for the numerous possibilities that could be causing your problem. One possible cure worth trying is to load the original file into VirtualDub, set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copy" and "Audio" to "Full Processing Mode". From under the "Audio" dropdown menu, select "Compression" and choose an appropriate MPEG Layer 3(.MP3) sampling rate (at the same frequency as the original). Save with a NEW filename.

        Let us know of your success ;>}
