Avi To Mpeg.................

I know someone have post the problem but no one have answer.
I have the same problem also. My avi has sound but after the compression into Mpeg1 the sound is gone. Please answer. This is very frustrating for a newbie Thank You

I convert avi to mpeg1 on a fairly regular basis for a number of reasons: reducing file size, converting avi to mpeg for producing video cd etc. I use John Schlister's avi2mpeg and have yet to have problems with sound. Suggest you pay a visit to his site and download his freebies and drop into some of his excellent link sites.

Thanks, but i found out itz because my sound was compressed not the program. Though it was ur program that told me

I think this is right. I remember when reading the documentation (sometimes it is useful having seen avi2mpeg does not support compressed voice. You should use another way of making your avi, or first decompress the voice
