Letterbox Colours dont match

after ripping a DVD, i used DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc to convert the movie to mpeg.

but the problem is after managing to get the aspect ratio correct, (16:9) the balck bars that TMPGEnc had to add to the top and bottom of the movie dont match that of the original video.

any suggestions/tips?

i had to work it out myself.. use "simple colour correction" in options in TMPGEng
