    Invalid Floating Point ????

    I have an Mpeg that I am trying to convert to vcd using TMPGEnc. I can play the file fine in Windows Media Player and Power DVD. This file is 823 Mb's. WHen I try to convert it, it only converts1.2 seconds, and then stops. When I try to enocde using Ulead DVD Factory, I get an ereor about a bad floating point. I cannot open this file with VirtualDub.
    Can anyone tellme what the problem might be.??

    "I cannot open this file with VirtualDub."

    What error does VDub generate?

    If this is a file that you've downloaded, perhaps, despite its .MPG extender, it's actually a different format.

    While it's playing in Windows Media Player, check out the Properties to see what codecs are being employed...

      MPEG Inport filter: pack synchronization error

      In Windows Media Plyer, under Properties, ist states the codec as follows: Ligos MPEG Audio Decoder

      This film was originally on a SVCD and I took it off soI cold transform it to a VCD tomake it smaller. I succesfully transformed the first half, but this half is giving me problems..

        Try loading it into TMPGEnc's "MPEGTools" facility:

        File>>MPEGTools>>Simple Multiplex

        Load file

        Set format to VCD (To "fool" the program)

        Save with a new filename

        Let us know of your success ;>}
