    DVD2SVCD problem

Everytime I try to encode a movie from DVD to SVCD using the program DVD2SVCD, the program TMPGEnc gives the message:

The resolution of the video is illigal.
The windows sizes needs to be set between 8x8 and 4088x4088
The Width and height of windows need to be multiple of 8

I don't know what I do wrong and I don't know where I have to change the settings. Is there anyone who can help??

    Try DVDx.
The video résulution must be 480X576 (PAL) or 480X480 (NSTC)

      Thx for the reply,

DVDx is that another program? Do you use it instead of DVD2SVD?

Yes, it's quick. It encode A DVD in SVCD in 2 h.

Therefore, I prefer encoding a divx in SVCD (with TMPGEnc pro), beacause of better quality.

I wrote atutorial (in french but with pictures) in my website.

For DVDx 2.00, you must install directX 8.1

If I am understanding this correctly, she would like to convert a dvd to a svcd. dvdx will only convert to divx, or???? I have been using DVD2SVCD for a while now,and have had no problems. Go to vcdhelp.com and go thru the complete guide for using this program. Works Great.....
And make sure your version of TMPGEnc is unlocked...

                    Have fun Jeanette.

                      No, No.

DVDx can convert a dvd 2 SVCD ou VCD as well as AVI.

DVD2SVCD is a better soft but I prefer DVDx for noobies because it's more easy.

After ... they can try DVD2SVCD with CCE or TMPGEnc which are better encoders.
