I know menus look cool and are great to include but do most of you do this? I use TMPGenc to do my VCD convesion and was wondering if you usually make menus for your VCDs. Mine are always 2 or 3 discs VCDs. I don't see descent quality off of one disc or am I not doing something right?
Simple Question...

(Just use the "Time search" or "Go to" options available from your standalone DVD player)

I been thinking about it. I am just going to split the .avi file in half and do it that way. Then it will not exceed the CD limit and it would be like doing the movie as a whole and splitting it in TMPGenc. I don't know why it tool me this long to think of that. DOH!!!

That's not really very different than what I suggested to you earlier, to wit:
"simple logic would indicate that if you use TMPGEnc to split the video into TWO MPEG-1 VideoCD files BEFORE burning..."
By the way, my experience has shown that splitting the file in TMPGEnc is LESS likely to cause VCD synch problems for "Part2" than can occur if you split the original .AVI in VirtualDub...Comment

Well splitting the files in TMP is not going to work on the logic I have about it. I first encode to an avi using Flask(DivX file). Then I split that into 2 parts using VirtualDub and encode with Nero so I can set up menus. TMP will not split the avi files. So how do you expect your idea to work....its not as simple as you make it perhaps.

This was YOUR statement in your first posting to this thread:
"I use TMPGenc to do my VCD convesion"
So I guess you've either changed your methodology or misspoke in your first posting. Be that as it may, the only thing that counts is that you've (either by yourself or with some assistance) resolved your dilemma ;>}
P.S. As I stated in my last response, my experience has shown that splitting the file in TMPGEnc is LESS likely to cause VCD synch problems for "Part2" than can occur if you split the original .AVI in VirtualDub...Comment

Take this however you want but you need to lighten up abit. I am not trying to start a debate about who said what or when or even how...its no big deal. Feel like I'm on that show "Crossfire". Its just a forum...at least thats what I take it as.
