TMPGEnc bumming me out?

hi all,i seem to have this small prob,every time i run tmpgenc it keeps popping up this error,,any ideas what or why i might be getting this,,i sure would be greatful for any suggestions..

i am running windows xp pro build 2600
AMD 1gb processor
768mb ram
40gb hd

Unable to determine from the .jpg what kind of file you're loading into TMPGEnc.
