audio synced or not synced? this is the question!

Why when I play my SVCDs created vith DVD2SVCD with my computer DVD drive (a miserable Mercury) I have synced audio but with my stand alone (CAT) DVD player I obtain out of sync audio?

If you've been creating the SVCDs with audio frequency at 48,000Hz, try lowering to 44,100Hz...

Thank you, but downsampling at 44.1 KHz has no effects...
Reading logfile of DVD2SVCD I've seen that among other parameters, I suppose for BeSweet, there is a delay of -81 ms for audio tracks... Is this normal?
Why in produced SVCDs sometimes there is an annoying "metallic" effect?
