I'm trying to convert a file with AC3 audio to MPEG using TMPGEnc but am having problems. Have set the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" setting to highest priority but when I encode, the picture has a sort of "Smokey Green" appearance which shows on playback and the encoded sound is "Choppy" (I must stress though that from what I can make out, the sound is in sync using this method - important)
The file information from Gspot is:
Video Codec Xvid
Aspect 640 x 352
Bitrate 1282kb/s
23.976 FPS
Duration 56m 09s
Audio Codec AC3 (0x2000) "Dolby Laboratories, Inc"
Bitrate 448 kb/s (89/ch x 5ch)
Fs 48000 Hz
If I convert the audio to uncompressed WAV/PCM and then encode using TMPGEnc, the sound is out of sync with the video. (Starts okay, drifts out of sync towards middle, drifts back towards end and finishes in sync!)
Any clues as this is really doing my head in?
