could'nt find answer to my problem

Hi, i'm a newbie on converting avi to vcd. I searched for the answers all over the forum but couldn't find the answer to my problem. Actually i have a movie in DivX format that is splitted in 2 avi files. Each avi file is 699 mb large and is around 1h30 long. I tried to convert one avi file to vcd using tmpgenc. It worked but the file's size is now 953 mb so i can't put it on a 80min cd. Is there any way to put all the movie in 2 or 3 cds instead of splitting the 953 mb file into 2 cds for each avi file.

Thanks a lot for the help

Try decreasing the encoding bit rate in TMPG... That should solve your problem.. Are you sure they are only 90 minutes?

If it still doesn't work the audio might be VBR.. in that case you will have to either change the audio header on the video or create a SVCD

You can split the mpeg-1 file you created in TMPGEnc. On a 700 mb cd/cd-r you can fit 80 minutes of video if you want to create a complaint vcd.

Sure. Use VirtualDub or NanDub to join the two .AVIs and then use the same program to split into three .AVIs...
