    I am the coaster Queen

I got a DVD Player for Christmas saying that it can read CD-R...I was all happy because I have over 45 movies downloaded movies on my computer...I tried burning them with a whole bunch of programs and encoders/decoders and im still lost...nothing works....

All I need to know is which program works the best to encode/decode so I can play them on my DVD Player?

What type of file I need to encode them as

and last but not least which burn program is the best?...but I think you guys have already answered that for me already in all the other posts...Nero

I would greatly appreciate any help

You need to encode them as VideoCD - TMPGEnc is your best bet - and Nero will set up the disk in the correct format for you (Create New Compilation - Other Formats - VCD).
Also, your DVD player may simply not like the brand of disk you're using!
