    DIVX 2 VCD...too big!!!

    Hi,

I try to encode a DivX to VCD with TMPGEnc.
Its size is 717 Mo and lasts 1:43'.
As info in Virtual Dub i read:
    video
    576x240,25.000fps (40000 microsec)
    decomp. DivX 5.0.2 codec

    audio
    44100Hz
    Comp. MP3

If i encode it with TMPG (VCD-PAL), the file is more than 2.3 Go !!
    where did i mess ?

How can i rip it to a VCD in order to fit it in 2 CDs ?

    Thanks for you help.

When try re-encoding the DivX-file again, but with a lower bitrate...

DVD2SVCD is a good prog to do that automaticly for you... i think.
It sais DVD2SVCD but also accepts avi-file and can also output VCD.. You can get it in the software section of digital-digest.

Hope to have helped you in any way..

May be it is wise to stick to the progs you know best and find easy to use
At every wedding my grandma's were poking me and saying 'You're next'. They stopped doing that when i started doing the same thing on funerals.

You can stick with TMPGenc but simple lower the video bitrate in the program. You should see in the prediction box how big the output file will be; aim for ~1.55Gigs.
Did you know you can SEARCH the forum? Fixes common problems too:
