    Convert DVD-format mpeg2 into SVCD

    Hi

    I have a problem. I have some Vob-files that i want to convert into SVCD compilant Mpeg2. The problem is that when i want to convert it in TMPEG it wont decode the AC3 audiostream. I have succeded once but it seems impossible to repeat it.

    So I could really use some help here.

    Some tips in how to do it in TMPEG or if you know of a better suited program for the task.

    Use TMPGEnc as follows:

    1) File>>MPEGTools>>DeMultiplex (NOT Simple DeMultiplex)
    2) Save videostream (.M2V)
    3) Select the .AC3 audiostream of your choice
    4) Go to main window of TMPGEnc
    5) FIRST load .M2V videostream
    6) SECOND load .AC3 audiostream (If TMPGEnc refuses to load this then, under the "Environmental Settings" "VFAPI plugin" tab rightclick on the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" and increase to the highest priority. This will enable TMPGEnc to accept a properly encoded .AVI with .AC3 audio for input...)
    7) Set all settings appropriate for MPEG2-SuperVideoCD format
    8) Save with a new filename

    Let us know of your success ;>}
