    Use TMPGEnc as follows:

    1) File>>MPEGTools>>DeMultiplex (NOT Simple DeMultiplex)
    2) Save videostream (.M2V)
    3) Select the .AC3 audiostream of your choice
    4) Go to main window of TMPGEnc
    5) FIRST load .M2V videostream
    6) SECOND load .AC3 audiostream (If TMPGEnc refuses to load this then, under the "Environmental Settings" "VFAPI plugin" tab rightclick on the "Direct Show Multimedia Reader" and increase to the highest priority. This will enable TMPGEnc to accept a properly encoded .AVI with .AC3 audio for input...)
    7) Set all settings appropriate for MPEG1 (or MPEG1-VideoCD)format
    8) Save with a new filename

    Let us know of your success ;>}

        "when i try to load the movie file, it asks for a mpeg 1 or m2v file and as i said the file is vob so it doesnt load"

        Click on the down arrow to the right of the "Filetype" box and select "All files (*.*)"

        "also there is no ac3 audio, all the movie is in vob"

        Once you've successfully selected the .VOB file (as per the above), you'll see that it contains an .M2V video file, as well as at least one .AC3 audiostream...
