i want to create single disk vcd's from dvd's, preferably using cce to re-encode. ive tried dvd2svcd but have had no success in creating a single disc yet, it took me a while to find the settings to change it from svcd format to vcd, but it still creates crap. is there a single point and click solution?

Use DVD2AVI to convert your DVD Vobs, then use TMPGEnc to convert the dvd2avi files to SVCD (MPEG-2) format. TMPGEnc works for both PAL and NTSC output.
