Template for TMPGEnc XVCD

Hi - Newbie here!

Current equipment - JVC GR-DVL 357
Pinnacle Studio V7 (running under WinXP)
Nero 5.5

Playback on JVC DVD player that supports VCD and XVCD - PAL format.

I have been able to create VCD's that play on the above DVD player but want to use XVCD to improve the resolution. The advice I have seen suggests using TMPGEnc to create the MPEG file and then burn using Nero. Problem is I don't really understand all the settings in the template files so I was wondering if anybody knows of a template file that I could use for this.

Why don't you give the

SuperVideoCD [PAL].mcf (in the template folder of TMPGEnc)

template a try ................................... if it gives you acceptable results then you don't have to bother with all the settings
