Svcd ---> Avi

Well i have a question i already know how to convert a avi file to svcd but a friend of mine do not have a dvd player and he have asked me if i was not able to convert some of my svcd files into avi . I apreciate any help. I would like to know what software is availiable . A guide would be great. Thx anyway.
