    ac3 in vcd??

is there any way to make a vcd with ac3 sound??
I'm using tmpenc and have no problems converting Divx files to MPEG1, one cd per film, no problems with quality nor sound nor nothing.
However, i have a dolby digital decoder and feel it's a shame that the vcd works in the dvd player, but only with a basic stereo config. for the sound.
Maybe i could take the sound out of the Divx,
compress the file to mpeg 1 and add the ac3 file later using something like vitualdub?
Do i need any plugins, maybe i need a different program or maybe it's simple to do?
If anyone can help me then please do, it'll save me hours of fiddling around (...already spent enough time learning about configuration an bitrate!)
    thanks

No - .AC3 sound is not within the parameters of MPEG1(VCD) format.
