Visual images a staggering after encoding with FlaskMpeg

    Hey,

I've been using FlaskMpeg to convert VOB files to VCD format. At the end of encoding some of the files though a warning message pops up

"This file may not playback correctly, try lowering the video bitrate or increasing the audio/video startup delays"

What on Earth does this mean and why is the playback staggering? The effect looks as though the movie is constantly being looked through venetian blinds.

I've been looking through the options but I'm afraid Bitrate and Startup delays don't mean much to me!

Can someone help me please? I'm new to this deal.

    Cheers!

I'm using the bbMPEG plugin and under the settings the default for VCD is 1150000. However this is in a field called CBR. What does CBR stand for and am I even looking in the right place?

I assume that BR is bitrate?

I fixed the problem by clicking on the deinterlace option in the Video Settings box.

By reading a FAQ for DVDX it explained how the interpolation can screw up sometimes and deinterlacing it fixes the problem.

          Thanks guys.
