Sound on VCD is deeper than they should be

If someone could help me it would be greatly appreciated....

When encoding Widescreen dvds (already .avi files) to .mpeg files (useing TMPEG). The finished VCD's audio is much deeper than it should be when I put it on a disc. Is there anything I can do to change that, and make the audio normal

"The finished VCD's audio is much deeper than it should be when I put it on a disc."

Is this effect apparent when you play the CD on your standalone DVD player AND on your PC, or only the standalone DVD player, or only the PC?

vcd audio is deeper in stand alone dvd player

The effect of the audio being deeper, is only when the VCD is playing in the stand - alone DVD player, If the VCD is in my CD-ROM, the audio is normal

Then your problem lies with the audio hardware (if any) included in your standalone setup. If it includes an equalizer, or simple bass and treble controls, make adjustments...
