    DVD2AVI problem

    Hi all,

I'm using DVD2AVI as a frameserver for Tmpgenc for copying DVD's to VCD's. I select the setting that I usually done but for some reason no WAV (or any audio) file is created. I've tried changing some of the setting but still have no luck.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Simon

once you have chosen your audiostream of the dvd and created
a project file (*.d2v) a soundfile should be created along with it.
this is not neccesarily a wav file. you must check the decode to wav in audio dropdown menue-->output method.

if still no wav file is created install required audio codecs.

if it still does not work just demux your desired track with DVD2AVIs demux option (audio dropdown) and then
use Headac3 he to convert this demuxed track to wav.
make sure that you have the required audiocodecs for conversion installed.
    good luck

I've check and the audio output is correct.

I think it might be the audio codecs where can I install these from?

      Thanks

the tsunami filterpack 3.9.9 should provide you with most codecs
        you need.

be warned..... use the filterpack only in custom setup mode
and install only the codecs that you need or you may mess up your system.

the filterpack can be found here.
Download the Tsunami Codec & Filter Pack, a collection of all the frequently used codecs and filters

If it still dos not work USE
        Headac3 he ......
