    Converting DivX to MPEG-1

    I have a DivX file which has FrameRate of 20 which I want to convert to VCD (PAL) for playback on a standard DVD player.

    How do I do this ?

    TMPEG and Nero don't seem to work with this file.

    Is it the FrameRate that's the problem or something else ?

    I have read many of the articles on this site but I can't get any of the methods to work.

    Help please ?

      What error message does TMPGEnc generate?

          I had this problem - you need to basically install CODECs until the right one works...

          Most of my DivX converted to MPEG fine when I installed the Tsunami Codec and Filter Pack - it depends on what CODEC the file has been written on so that TMPEGEnc can understand it...

          Load the VCD (Pal) instruction set, it will convert the file as best it can...
