Sound Out of Sinc

I convert Avi to Mpeg, or Avi to VCD. The sound and motion match in the avi file, but after I convert there is like a 1 sec delay with the sound. Like watching a chinese movie with english voices dubbed. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Please help me.

If youre using flaskMPEG to encode it under the audio tap, check the "same as input" I had a delay problem when I used to make divx but not since I tried this, maybe it will work the other way around

Thanks for that have I don't have flask, have not used it will give it a try as I can get my hands on copy. I have used Panasonic encoder, also burnt with nero, avi to vcd. Same results.
